Before doing so, we must first understand the causes of heating and shelling of power cables, such as grounding or short circuit fault, broken wire fault, broken wire and ground fault, and flickering fault
Barrier. However, there are many fault diagnosis methods. Let's continue to understand them:
The method to determine the cable fault type is to measure the insulation resistance of each phase at one end of the circuit with an insulation resistance meter. The fault type is generally determined according to the following conditions:
1. When the insulation resistance of one or more cores of the cable to the ground is telemetered, or the insulation resistance between cores is less than 100 kiloohms, low resistance grounding or short circuit fault will occur.
2. When the insulation resistance of one or more cores of the cable to the ground is telemetered, or the insulation resistance between cores is far below the normal value, but exceeds 100 kiloohms, high resistance grounding will occur Fault.
3. When the insulation resistance of one or more cores of the telemetric cable to the ground is high or normal, the conductor continuity test shall be carried out to check whether there is a broken wire, if there is a broken wire fault.
4. The flashover fault usually occurs in the preventive voltage withstand test, and most of the parts are cable terminals and intermediate joints. Sometimes the flash will occur several times in succession, with intervals of several seconds to minute.
