1.The steel wire rope shall not be twisted or loose when uncoiling.
2. The length of the steel wire rope shall meet that when the hook is at the lowest working position, the steel wire rope is also wound with 2~3 cycles of load reducing ring on the drum to avoid the tension directly borne by the rope tail pressing plate.
3.When the wire rope needs to be cut before use, it can be cut with a special cutter, hacksaw or flame. Before cutting, the two sides of the cut shall be firmly tied with fine iron wire to prevent loose steel wire.
4.Before using the steel wire, carefully check its certificate to confirm that the performance specifications of the steel wire rope meet the design requirements.
5.The pulley edge of the pulley winding the steel wire rope shall not be cracked, and the pulley groove used shall be larger than the diameter of the steel wire rope to avoid abrasion of the steel wire rope.
6.The steel wire rope shall not be overloaded or subjected to impact force in use. It shall be padded at the edges and corners of the hoisted object, and shall not be directly contacted. When binding, if the force is applied at many points or circles, it must be uniform. Although violating the above principles may not break the steel wire rope immediately, it may cause damage due to stretching and deformation of the steel wire rope, and shorten the service life of the steel wire rope.
7. Scratch, grinding, rolling and excessive bending shall be prevented during use, and the rope end fixation, wear and breakage shall be checked once a day.
8. When hoisting the steel wire rope, if there is a lot of oil extruding between the strands, it indicates that the load of the steel wire rope has been quite large, and inspection must be strengthened to prevent accidents.
9. The wire rope shall not contact with live metal, especially the welding wire, to avoid the reduction of tensile strength after burning or injury. Insulation measures shall be taken when working in the live area; When steel wire ropes are used to bind objects close to high temperature, isolation measures must be taken.
10. In order to slow down the corrosion and wear of wire ropes, oil should be added regularly (usually every 3-4 months). Special attention shall be paid to the parts that are not easy to see or approach, such as the steel wire rope at the balance pulley. The lubricating oil used shall meet the requirements of the wire rope and shall not affect the appearance inspection of the wire rope.
11. The wire rope after use shall be coiled immediately, stored on a dry board, and inspected and oiled regularly for maintenance.
12. The wire rope shall be protected from high temperature, electric arc, sharp edge, corrosion and other damages during use and storage.
